Build your edible garden!
Handy, inexpensive, edible gardens raised for convenience. Having this available near the kitchen just makes sense to clip, grab, and toss in! I'm so inspired to ignite my culinary creativity and eat even more organic.
Sprouting health and beauty!
"The Easy Green Sprouter has found its home on the deck in the shade and the day before yesterday I filled the first two trays (of five) with organic, nonGMO Radish and Pea seeds. I then filled the tank with pure water, set the timer, and off it went. I like to fill only one or two trays at a time so that I create a rotating garden. Extra sprouts go into green drinks. The Easy Green Sprouter takes almost all of the work out of growing sprouts. I actually rather like to grow sprouts in jars, but realistically I have too many places that my mind and body goes on a given day to be living my life according to rinse times (although the simplicity of a lifestyle that could, does sound rather appealing;) One of the main reasons that I eat sprouts, other than their delicious taste, is to bump up my daily intake of sulfur, vitamin A and C, and other nutrients. Sulfur is the big one as it is so vital for beautiful skin and graceful aging. I am a genuine fan of adding sulfur foods to salads as this nutrient is vital for both health AND beauty!
Sulfur is a brilliant nutrient to treat ‘puffy face syndrome’ and is used by the body to prevent inflammatory conditions such as sore muscles after exercise or, more chronically, arthritis or rheumatism. Perhaps its most important role is as the primary nutrient used by the body to assist in removing toxins from cells (including fat cells) and removing them from the body; thus it is a vital tool for inner cleanliness and as an anti-aging nutrient.
There’s more! Sulfur, like silica, is also vital for healthy SKIN, hair and nails and another great aspect of sulfur is that it supports the kidneys to maintain healthy water balance. If you have issues with water retention and/or cellulite, then sulfur is a great supplement to take. " Thanks, Bonny Casel for sharing your wisdom, because I'm so inspired to add more sprouts into my diet. I rarely do at home, and it sounds like a wonderful addition to my nutrition.
*In addition to the benefits above, silica rich foods assist in the removal of heavy metals like mercury from the body, which is imperative especially after getting my amalgam fillings removed.
Just starting to sprout!
An excellent source of sulfur is MSM but if you can eat sulfur from the source on a daily basis, that is even better. Foods that have a spicy taste are high in sulfur, such as onions, garlic, radishes, mustard seeds and leaves, watercress, Brussel sprouts, and arugula. Radish sprouts are even higher in sulfur as you eat them when they are at their highest nutritional potency.
Yum! Adding vitamins, minerals, color, flavor, texture, and creativity to every dish! I can't wait to try!
